Relief Aid.

Quang Tri province is located in a harsh land where monsoonal tropical storms and dry hot wind from Laos hit frequently. Local people suffer from annual flooding and hurricanes, which damage their crops and animals and hurt their economy. Since the end of 2019, Covid-19 pandemic has worsened their situation. Many people are unemployed, which increase the financial burden they already got. CDF has been offering help to these disadvantaged people in various ways.

Relief packages for flood victims.

The devastating flood in 2020 have caused hundreds of death and vast damage to crops, animal and houses in Central Vietnam. Flash floods and heavy rains were the historical natural disaster occurring in the region for the past 30 years. CDF have responded to this catastrophic flood with emergency aid to local victims in Quang Tri province. 15,000 relief packages were delivered to the people, including instant noodles, rice, cooking oil, basic medicines, canned food.

Response to COVID-19 pandemic

The Covid-19 Pandemic has resulted in significantly reduced income for local people, especially ethnic minority people in mountainous area. CDF have received supprot from ISEPS Global Outreach Program and Ha Noi Youth for Community Service to provide gifts to 100 poor people and eye patients in Quang Tri. The gifts include food, drink and basic medicines.
