Climate change, sustainable forest management & conservation
Community Development Foundation (CDF) has been actively working to foster climate resilience, promote conservation efforts, and encourage sustainable forest management practices in Quang Tri. Through its various initiatives, CDF addresses critical environmental issues that affect both the local ecosystem and the well-being of communities in the region.
A key component of CDF's approach is the engagement of young people in environmental campaigns. By involving youth, CDF not only empowers the next generation but also effectively raises awareness among local residents. Young volunteers play a crucial role in spreading knowledge about the importance of environmental protection, helping to foster a community-wide commitment to sustainability.
CDF’s programs focus on several core areas, including environmental health, climate change, sustainable forest-based livelihoods, green energy, and awareness-raising communications. By working to improve air, water, and soil quality, CDF promotes environmental health that benefits both ecosystems and public well-being. Through climate education, CDF emphasizes the need to adapt to and mitigate climate change impacts, ensuring the resilience of local communities. The foundation also advocates for sustainable forest-based livelihoods, enabling locals to use forest resources responsibly. By supporting the transition to renewable energy, CDF encourages reduced dependence on fossil fuels. These efforts are amplified by awareness-raising campaigns, which educate the community on sustainable practices and foster a culture of environmental stewardship.
